TPS to Drive Technology Forward at The Exeter Science Park

Published: 14/04/2015

Exeter Science Park is set to be the corner-stone of a knowledge-based economy which is currently achieving unprecedented growth rates. Available to high growth potential organisations in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine undertaking research and development.

Partners of the Park include the University of Exeter, East Devon District Council, Exeter City Council, Homes & Communities Agency and The Met Office. They will combine their efforts to ultimately deliver a hub of knowledge across the South West and in turn, increase the overall level of business investment driven by the science and technology sector.

Total Parking Solutions appointment to create and manage innovative parking solutions at the Exeter Science Park was recently welcomed by all stakeholders. A combination of vehicle count monitoring tools integrated to HD ANPR cameras, variable message signs (VMS) will assist motorists to their destination and improve traffic flow in and around the park.
Ultimately the concept of real-time space counts will provide up-to-date information on the allocated car park and bay number at the point of entry. This data is relayed to patrons and visitors via electronic message boards along with recommended parking alternatives, traffic updates, instructions for parking during special events, or general messages.  The initial phase of the project is due to commence early May 2015, with further expansion during the next 2 years, to cover the entire Park.

This project brings Total Parking Solutions together with a number of global partners and suppliers, by combining technological and IT capability to ultimately deliver a unique blend of innovative parking solutions.

We are thrilled to have been appointed to lead this great project from infancy.
